"When I got through that, I said, 'Never again!' 14 days after I got back home, I asked: How can I do that again?" Andreas smiles as he recounts his adventure. 713 kilometers on foot. From Pamplona to Santiago de Compostela, the famous Way of St. James. "After 25 years in the business, I just felt like having an experience like that outside the office," he says.
Rich in experience, however, was already his professional path in IT and management. Before joining GAMBIT in September 2021, Andreas worked at Kardex AG in Zurich for over 15 years. Most recently, he was Head of Corporate Organization Development & IT there, responsible for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA.
Andreas began his professional career after studying in Mannheim in 1994 at ABB Group Management in Zurich. This was followed by positions at SKYVA Schweiz AG, as Partner and Managing Director at Facilycom GmbH, and as Business Analyst and Solution Manager at Ramco Systems in Basel. "After graduating, I applied directly to Switzerland - and have been living and working there ever since," he says. "And this is also exactly the path I would take again today."
Andreas' Projekte
At Kardex AG, Andreas was the manager responsible for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA - an international greenfield project that used the GAMBIT approach model.
In preparation for the global SAP S/4HANA implementation, GAMBIT conducted a feasibility study at Kardex AG and developed a roadmap. Andreas accompanied the project on the customer side.
Strategic management and portfolio and project management - these are Andreas' main areas of expertise. In addition, he has extensive knowledge in organizational and personnel development.
Andreas is an IT expert from the very beginning. Long before studying electrical engineering, he was involved with technology and computers and developed a passion for IT that continues to this day.
