178 meters in altitude, up to 12 percent incline, some switchbacks reminiscent of an alpine pass - the Petersberg in the Siebengebirge near Bonn is Andreas' favorite destination when he gets on his racing bike after work or on the weekend. "The view from the top makes up for the effort every time," he says, adding, "When I get home, though, my first glance is at the numbers and data on my app, how fast I was at the top and how many watts I pedaled - I can't get out of my skin."

How something can be done faster and better, how processes can be optimized - these are questions Andreas has always enjoyed dealing with, even away from sports. "I did part of my training as an industrial clerk in my father's craft company - and I loved looking at the processes there. For example, I introduced digital pricing and a digital template for assembly orders," he says.

After his apprenticeship, a contact with a GAMBIT employee finally gave Andreas the opportunity to start in consulting. Andreas decided to go straight into finance at the company, completed another business administration degree on the side until 2019, and is now a senior consultant dealing with all topics in finance. "When I'm not on my bike at the weekend, I like to be outside or wear a scarf - as a fan of 1. FC Köln in the Müngersdorf stadium."
