An application is a mutual opportunity to get to know each other.
You should learn who we are – and we want to understand who you are and what drives you. But what actually happens to your application after you’ve submitted it? When can you expect to hear back from us? Here’s an overview of the application process at GAMBIT.

One to two days after the second interview, we’ll let you know whether we can envision working together. If it’s a good fit for both sides, we’ll send you a draft of your employment contract—first as a draft via email, and then, once you agree, the signed contract will be sent to you by mail.
Frequently asked questions about applying to GAMBIT
Q&A about the application process
GAMBIT has several locations.
The company’s headquarters are in Troisdorf, close to Cologne and Bonn.
Additionally, GAMBIT has offices in Vienna, Austria, and in Risch-Rotkreuz, Switzerland. Risch-Rotkreuz is located between Zurich and Lucerne, each about 30 kilometers away.
You can also work remotely for GAMBIT from Turkey, for example if you live in Istanbul.
Our offices in Troisdorf and Switzerland are modern and excellently equipped – including height-adjustable desks, air conditioning, and state-of-the-art IT.
Your contacts for any questions are Sabine Goebbels (Director Human Resources) and Maria Mavrou (Professional HR). They will be happy to assist you.
No. However, we generally expect you to be enthusiastic about IT, applications, and data. Depending on the role and area of work, more extensive practical IT skills may be desirable.
If you currently have only limited practical IT skills, you should at least have some knowledge in logistics, production, or finance.
If you’re a beginner interested in development, it’s beneficial if you have already learned at least one programming language— for example, during your studies — and gained some initial experience working with databases.
Yes, we do.
“For example, one of our employees recently wrote on Kununu, ‘I love my job.’ Another commented, ‘A very appreciative approach to employees.’
If you want to know what other applicants and many of our employees say about GAMBIT or how they rate the application process, feel free to take a look.
And just a quick heads-up: GAMBIT has a recommendation rate of over 90 percent on Kununu and currently holds a Kununu score of 4.6. This makes GAMBIT a ‘TOP COMPANY’ on Kununu.”
It depends. If you are a career starter (Associate Consultant), we do not require prior SAP knowledge. However, what you should definitely bring with you is an interest and enthusiasm for IT, data, and numbers. You could also say: an affinity for IT systems, databases, and applications.
If you already know a bit more, that’s naturally an advantage— for example, if you have had some contact with SAP before, gained initial practical experience with SAP applications during your studies, or worked in development. But don’t worry if that’s not the case: we will teach you everything you need to know about SAP.
It’s different if you are applying as an expert with us. Then — which should be clear — we expect corresponding and extensive professional experience as well as skills in handling SAP systems or the relevant modules.
Yes, you can. For example, if you want to work for us as a working student or do an internship, you can send us your application documents at any time.
The same applies if you already have professional experience but haven’t found a suitable job posting in our offerings. Feel free to surprise us with your application.
New opportunities often arise at GAMBIT, where we can consider your application. It’s helpful if you write to us as specifically as possible about why and in which position and department you would like to work at GAMBIT.
Your documents are always in good hands with us.
When you apply online or by email, you will first receive a confirmation of receipt. This means that your documents have arrived safely. We then review your application thoroughly and promptly and initiate the next steps – from the first phone call to a possible interview.
We keep you informed about every step of the application process – transparently and personally. And if we feel that another candidate might be a better fit for the position, we will let you know quickly.
If you agree, we will store your documents in our system in such cases. It’s possible that another opportunity may arise later within our company that suits you. If you do not want this, you can, of course, object to the storage of your data at any time.
Applying by mail is no longer considered up-to-date. If you want to send us your documents, there are easier, faster, and more convenient ways today — for example, by submitting a digital application through our career page. There, you can simply upload your documents. Do you prefer the traditional email? That option is still available to you as well.
