Fabian Wick heads up the Manufacturing & Automotive business unit. In his role as project manager, he is responsible for the commercial and technical management of various SAP projects, coordinates the project members and maintains contact with the customer.

Listening to Fabian talk about his work, you can imagine that he might also have made a good gardener. "My favorite place to go is where it looks like cabbage and turnips. And then I create order there!"

As many an SAP landscape needs a tidy hand, Fabian can put his talents and his love of order to perfect use in his job as an SAP project manager. "You notice that the processes in many companies have grown historically, but no longer have the desired effect." Thoroughly tidying up and improving processes is exactly Fabian's thing: "It gives me great pleasure when I can optimize these grown processes for the customer."

Especially when it comes to implementing SAP S/4HANA using the greenfield approach, Fabian's customers often face major changes. Fabian is also prepared for the fact that projects can get emotional. "My job is to support people in the project intensively with a steady hand and my specialist knowledge. I convey to them that their expertise is still needed, even if processes change." In this way, change succeeds - and even the trickiest projects become the best basis for further growth under Fabian's leadership.

But there is also growth in a completely different area. Because something very special is also growing up in Fabian's private life: his two children. "I naturally spend a lot of time with my wife and children in my private life, which is a lot of fun and gives me a lot of strength." Having your own offspring is a great source of joy!

A sympathetic ear

When a problem arises, Fabian does not hesitate for long. It is important to him to talk to those affected as soon as possible. That way, disagreements can be resolved quickly before they become entrenched.

Enjoy the flexibility

Fabian particularly appreciates this aspect of his job: he can choose when and where he works. As a family man, he spends a large part of his day working from home - leaving him more time for his children.

Seeing change as an opportunity

How do you master change? For Fabian, the answer is to encourage openness to new things right from the start. If you have a positive attitude right from the start of the project, you keep your eyes open for new opportunities.

Teamwork is not only important to Fabian at work, but also in his favorite sport. As a keen amateur footballer, Fabian knows that you can only win a game as a team.
